what a gorgeous & invigorating way to start the day!

inspired by instagram, i am just loving taking photos at the moment 

 i have not altered the light or contrast in these photos.. 

they are as i saw the sunrise this morning, just stunning!

it is such nice thing to take the time to just stop 

& see the beauty in things..

i am off with my mud this weekend for my first 'nest' market for the year beside the 

seaside, enjoying the gorgeous sunshine we have at the moment..

hoping your weekend in full of sunshine too, even if the sun isn't shining!

making some custom orders for some very special & creative businesses 

{will share the ways they have chosen to use my mud tags later, amazing ideas!},

helping out at school & running around with the boys,

excitedly loading up a new 'mud by nest' online store {more later on that!}

planning our garage sale for the the weekend {!why!},

mud orders going off to some divine new retail stores,

spending way too much time playing on instagram {!}

cleaning the nest..

do you have a cleaning 'routine' in your nest?

perhaps you clean on an as needed basis, or way past needed basis!

perhaps you have a set cleaning day, or maybe you have someone else do it for you?!

i have a hate-love bug with cleaning - hate to clean, love the end result!
i guess i am not alone, tho i do know people that love to clean!

my cleaning is usually done in bits & pieces here & there as needed, & sometimes i admit
way past needed.  i felt i was cleaning to no avail most of the time, so since school started
back i have tried to bring some routine to my weeks, scheduling thursdays as my
'must clean the nest' day - a power clean where i get everything done in one hit
- & i have been loving an entire clean nest at once, well until school is out at least!

 but, today is thursday & it has been one of those days where i have found way more
 important things to do than clean! fancy that!

 i love this image i had in my files, could not be more relevant for me today!

oh, at times i wish the magic cleaning fairy would fly thru my nest &
 sprinkle the 'magic clean' in each room!

buzzy bee

in light of my little nest store opening at nest interior styling facebook page soon, 

my mind is just buzzing with ideas & a little excitement!!

buzzing & excitement reminded me i had been meaning to post these gorgeous pictures 

that having been buzzing around blogland recently - i have been telling so many friends

 about this divine little bee party, it just melted my heart!

it was cleverly created by Suzi at alannah rose 

and was also featured over at thebeautiful amy atlas events, 

who herself creates the most amazingly delectable sweet party designs.

look there is even nectar!

all looks too good to eat, doesn't it! just beautiful.

on that note, off i buzz back to my little nest store to work on the finishing touches!

trash to treasure..

one of nest's favourite things to do is to scour secondhand stores & garage sales for old furniture & pieces to restore & love!  we believe in the philosophy of not always having to buy 'new' to style your home.  yes there are lots of junk items out there, but there are also lots of vintage items that could tell many stories.

in light of tonights episode of the block, which will feature contestants buying secondhand & basic furniture items to restore & use in their room styling, i thought i would share some before & after pieces that i have transformed from trash to treasure..

inspired? all you need is some paint (yes I love white!), maybe some fabric or door handles & some elbow grease & you to can revamp some vintage pieces that talk..

just wandering..

would love to be losing my self wandering aimlessly amongst all the gorgeous & yummy things in donna hay's general store today..
