making mud gorgeous. why shouldn't you feather your own nest?

little nest by the sea

before
nests been!
with a theme for a little nest by the sea we could go crazy with anchors & buoys & ships & sand!  instead we chose to keep it clean & simple surrounding all walls with an amazing blue
{dulux deluxe days half} with freshwhite trim just like we are under water
& white furniture with easy reach access for fun play.

the theme came together with some simple inexpensive wall styling - for a fishing net to catch the gorgeous wooden starfish we used a white hammock for $9.  we found an old fishing rod for $1 at the markets which we painted red & added some line... & look we caught five fish!
the canvas above the cot is our own nest creation using the elements from the beach -
sand, coral, shells & driftwood.
the trend of coral letters is by my gorgeous & extremely creative friend Jo who does
some amazing pieces herself.
i have shared our nest  'footprints in the sand' creation before but here it is again as an
example of easy & effective wall art using just a little bit creative thinking.

there can never be enough places to hang your hats - a piece of driftwood with dow pegs with
a shell glued to the end of each one is a perfect fit in a little nest by the sea.

we would love to hear from you if you would like more information on our little nest styling
services or a commissioned piece of art for your bare wall by the sea.
